That's not my phone!

I just about panicked when I looked at my account today and saw the generic "Image Coming Soon" icon for my BYOD had mysteriously been replaced by this:

not iphone and not mine.png

The CS rep I spoke with on live chat says this is a glitch which the engineers are working on.  Sure hope so.  My phone works otherwise and I haven't gotten any weird notifications regarding my service which would make me think someone is trying to con me or fraudulently port my number.  If you look closely at the image, that's NOT an iPhone.  And while I do use a Samsung, that's not my Samsung.  Eek.

Anyone else notice this happening with their account recently?

Yay!  My account has finally been fixed to show the correct device and the generic icon for BYOD users like me is back!  Thank you Verizon for fixing it up for me. 😁

Hi @SynthpopAddict. Since last month, there definitely has been something going on the backend where these images are pulling from the source URL. In my case, Askey extender would always display a Samsung image on the Devices Overview Landing page while the Manage Network Extender page would always display an Askey image but now it displays the Samsung image in both locations even though internally it listed as an Askey. A while ago, I had a replacement iPhone that wasn't displaying any information thus leading to certain features in MyVerizon to not be visible for the device.  A ticket was raised as the Device ID wasn't fully in their database. Once it was completed the model, storage, color and picture started displaying and the features reappeared in MyVerizon.

This thread made the Most Valuable Posts thread for the week (!), but the issue remains unresolved, because my account still shows that image of an "iPhone X Black" with what looks like a Samsung S3 or S5.  That's after years of the "Image Coming Soon" (We're fixing it up shortly.) icon for BYOD users like myself.  I don't know if I should be falling out of my chair laughing like I did over the pizza float thread, which also made the Most Valuable Posts thread...
