Transfer Service to another Verizon Customer

Hello!

My partner has offered to take on my phone bill, and wants me to transfer my line to his account. If I set up the transfer on the app, will my cell service be interrupted? We’re currently in separate states, and my phone is my lifeline. I’d still want access to the account as well, would I need to make a new account after the transfer or would my current account still show my phone? Thanks in advance!

I don't know about potential service interruptions, but first of all, only postpaid lines are eligible to be transferred and the receiving individual needs to pass a credit check to be able to assume service. If the transfer goes through, the receiving individual needs to set you up as an Account Manager in their account for you to still be able to view your line details. You'd be able to see other stuff in their account too methinks. If you only have your one line in your current account, you would not be able to use your current account as is if the line is transferred to the other person; you have to login to their account as an Account Manager.
