I tried to add a device (watch) by myself online using the information to do so. I got as far as adding the line to my cart where it showed $0 due today, then $7.50 (50% off $15) each month by sharing with my existing phone plan. I then selected through 3 agreements only to receive a message that this was unavailable and I'd need to go to a Verizon Store for support. I actually went through Chat, which in a previous 5 hr long experience that was in the middle of the night left me in a rage. Well, Chat tells me there's a $35 activation fee. I've been a Verizon customer for over 20 years and each year as of late, there are more and more fees and higher and higher priced plans. Does anyone know how to get around this $35 activation fee?

We are sorry to read that you're having issues with your order, we'll be glad to help. In this case, the activation fee is charged even when processing an order online. From time to time, we do have promotions that can waive it, but at the moment we do not have one that would waive it. If you have any questions, let us know.
