Trouble Porting Out a Number

I recently ported a number out from Verizon to a new carrier. Currently, the new service works perfectly except for texts. I can send them, but I can't receive them. I have spent hours on the phone with my new carrier (also owned by Verizon, Visible Wireless) and also online trying everything I can find to get it working.

My question is this: Is it possible that the port out process from Verizon didn't fully complete, or completed only for calls/data but not for texts? If so, how do I go about getting the number fully released by Verizon now that my account with them has been closed?

Visible says that the port has been completed and that everything is set up properly on their end, but of course I'll continue working with them to try to solve the issue. I'm making this post in case the source of the problem ends up being Verizon, not my new carrier.

Hi, if Visible says the port finalized, then the texting issue is on their side.  Depending on what make/model phone you have, you may need to get RCS reactivated, do a network reset, reactivate iMessage, update your carrier settings, or Visible needs to do some kind of syncing or resetting/troubleshooting something on their side to get texting to completely work.
