I was going to transfer over to Verizon, and put in all the information. I decided to stick with where I am, and when I tried to cancel, I was told everything was good and cancelled, and I would not be billed. I had started a port over from my old provider, and it's now preventing me from contacting any verizon number from my phone as it is the number I was going to send over. Honestly just fed up, because I canceled within a few hours of signing up.

Did you get any texts or emails from Verizon indicating the port in to Verizon finalized? "Welcome to the Verizon network, your number xxx-xxx-xxxx is now ready to use on Verizon" or some such? If the port completed, then the only way to go back to your old provider is to do a port out of Verizon. If the port was stuck in limbo somewhere where you had no service on Verizon at all ever, then you may be able to ask your old carrier to cancel the port out.
I'm not a Verizon employee, just another customer trying to help.
