Two phones numbers one one phone and want to separate and give each line a phone

I want to separate the lines on one phone and give each line its own phone, so I want to use the IPHONe Promotion of a new phone with a new line and change the new line to one of the #s I am taking off the 2 line phone. can I do this and get the new phone credit ?
