Where to report Verizon Door-to-Door Salesperson?

I need somebody from Verizon to contact me about the door-to-door salesperson who knocked on my door today. His behavior was outrageously rude, unprofessional, and completely uncalled-for.

I will not have Verizon salespersons trespass on my property, and speak to me so disrespectfully.  Verizon should not be allowing this particular guy to knock on people's doors representing the company.

I've made several calls to Verizon customer service, and the local store, and nobody knows who I should be speaking to. No wonder Verizon door-to-door salespersons get away with behaving this way. There is no consequence. From what I see in multiple threads on these boards, nobody can ever find out where to call to report them.

Verizon sent a frightening and aggressive person to my property, who scared me, and was verbally abusive. There is nowhere to report this. So this person can continue to frighten people in their homes.

I just want to be reassured that it won't happen again.

I will advice you to go to the BBB if they don't comply

I too just had the same issue yesterday with an aggressive and rude Verizon door to door salesperson. Where can I report this?

Unfortunately, frustratingly, and frankly disgustingly – there is NOWHERE to report this. After doing my post the following happened: -- 1) most of my post describing what happened was edited (it was much worse), 2) multiple Verizon chat reps bombarded me with messages offering to help but actually did absolutely nothing, and 3) I spent hours on the phone talking to various different Verizon departments, but NOT ONE of them knew where to report the aggressive and rude Verizon Door-to-Door Salesperson... even the local Verizon store manager. At which point I gave up. It shouldn't be this way, but sadly it is. This is why they keep getting away with it. Zero oversight or repurcussions.

Hi Peter, thanks for responding here, but when I originally posted I had multiple Verizon reps message me privately. I had calls with a couple of them. None of it went anywhere. Nobody knew where to report the  door to door salesman, or even find out who he was, who his manager is, etc. It wasted a lot of time, and was difficult. Before I respond to your message, may I ask, how are you going to report this, and find out who this person was? I don't believe you can do this based on everyone else I've spoken with Verizon in the past.

I too would like to file a formal complaint about a door-to-door rep whom seemingly lied straight to our face about a mobile plan "discount" in order to sell us a new home internet gateway device.

If there's any Verizon rep seeing this, please contact us through private channel.  I'm not looking to get this "discount" that doesn't exist in real life, I would just like for the company to have some accountability and do something about these door-to-door agents behaviors.

Thank you.

Hi I'm the OP (original poster) -- here's the deal...

1) multiple Verizon reps will respond here offering to message privately and help you, but NONE OF THEM will help you. Don't even get on the phone with them, you'll end up so frustrated. It drove me almost crazy. I received MANY messages. Nobody did anything. Nobody cared.

2) Mods here might edit your comment, taking out anything that makes Verizon sound bad. My original post was heavily edited, so the very worst of what actually happened is gone.

3) You will NEVER find anyone at Verizon to take accountability for their door-to-door reps. Nobody will help you here, in comments or private messages. If you call customer support you'll waste hours being transferred from place to place. And the local stores claim to know nothing. It's so, so, so frustrating. Don't do it to yourself. I gave up.

To Verizon Customer Service Rep "Deb" who responded here – I'm only just seeing your comment over a year later, thank you.

At the time of the harassment – I did exactly as you suggested, and sent many "private notes". However a different person responded to every note, and not one of them ever did anything to address the verbal abuse I was subjected to by a Verizon door-to-door salesperson. Their aggressive behavior scared me. On my own doorstep.

I contacted my local store and spoke with the manager. I called Verizon corporate. I tried social media. I tried Verizon CS chat.

I provided details of the date, location, salesperson's name, and specifically what happened. Nothing was ever done.

This just happened to me today and the level of aggressiveness and intrusion is very disturbing and unsettling. The fact that Verizon employs or contracts out door to door sales makes me not want to do business with them at all. I have FIOS and will seriously re-consider my contract with them moving forward. No one wants to be disturbed in their home. I seriously hope Verizon stops this practice because it has the opposite effect.

I'm really sorry to hear you had a similar experience with a Verizon door-to-door rep.  I'm the same as you, the entire experience and lack of accountability in rectifying it, made me want to never be a Verizon customer again if I can help it.  Here's some additional info that might be of further use: --

I had the same experience today, which is the third time. A young man opened my screen door and pounded on my inside door several times. there were two other young people standing by the street that were with him.  I told them if Verizon has something to promote that they need to mail it to me or call me. And that no one appreciates having their door pounded on. His reply was, we needed to get you outside. He finally relented and said OK and went away. Who is this and is person and is Verizon really sending him? Maybe it’s fraudulent.

Had sales rep just knock on my door at 9pm ! Very aggressive,  I thought the guy was about to enter my home. Told him 10 times I wasn't interested and it's kinda late for this . He didn't care , I had to politely close the door in his face . I hope this will not happen again !! A. That they knock on doors this late and B. Go away when someone tells them no the 1st time !!!

I hope some verizon person is reading this ...

I'm sorry to hear about your experience. To report inappropriate behavior by a Verizon door-to-door salesperson, try contacting Verizon's corporate office directly or use their online customer support chat option to escalate the issue. You can also consider reaching out to Verizon's social media channels, as companies often respond more promptly there. Providing specific details, such as the time, place, and description of the salesperson, can help them address the incident more effectively.
