I transferred by line from verizon to google fi. I still see verizon network on my phone.How to ensure my line was deactivated and that I won't be billed anymore?
Porting your number can take up to 2 days to completely finish. Once you port out, your line belongs to the new carrier, so you wouldn't be getting billed for a Verizon service plan. However, if you owe money on your phone or other devices, you're still responsible for that. Or if you were on a 36 month contract and left early, you're responsible for paying whatever early termination fees there are.
If there is a concern that Verizon is holding onto your number for some reason, Verizon's Porting Department can be reached at 888-844-7095. Otherwise, you'll have to contact Google to figure out what's going on with the port if it is stuck on their end.
