I have been with Verizon for probably ten years, I love the service but the bill is becoming too much. Every month we get close to our data max and about five days before the bill is due I have to throttle our network which basically makes the phone useless so I dont go over the data and end up with a surcharge ($15 per gig)
Right now, we have the 8g plan which seems to be right on the edge of what my family needs, the next plan is unlimited but it will drastically change my bill and I dont want to do that. I have a few friends that have switched to xfinity mobile and the its $45 per month per line for unlimited data on the verizon network.. seems like a no brainer. To go unlimited on verizon is like $80 a month per line.
Looking for opinions.
Thanks!
Rich

Just remember that MVNO's are typically the first ones throttled when there is congestion on the tower. Also, and this highly depends on the Verizon coverage where you live and travel, you will lose any roaming that Verizon has with other carriers.

Hold the phone, richgill21! We'd be sad to see you leave the Verizon Wireless family after 10+ years for something much different. I know that having more than enough data to last all month is essential. But, also having a plan that stays within your budget is important too. Has there been a recent change in the way the cellular data is being used on your devices? To help save on monthly data, do you have the ability to connect to Wi-Fi service while at home or work? Please keep us posted.

Well, not that I know of but its my wifes phone. She does alot of activites with my daughter so I assume its social media and thinks that draw data.
I cant justfiy spending 15 bucks extra per gig when I can actually reduce my bill and get unlimited. I know there are possible reductions in service quality but as a single income family every dollar counts.
I am open to suggestions though.

Comcast/Xfinity customer service and support is dead last in the industry. Couple that, with the fact that Comcast routinely raises rates every single year, and it is my opinion that switching would be a disaster in the making.

I have Go Unlimited and while speeds are decent for the most part, it really tanks if I'm at the mall on a busy day. Can't even load up a webpage sitting at the food court.
This is Verizon postpaid. Xfinity is 2 tiers below that. Things are cheap for a reason you know.

I have the same concern but specifically how to move verizon cloud storage items to xfinity cloud. Also does xfinity have daily contact and file backup capability? Thanks
