About a month ago my psim stopped working intermittently until it stopped working altogether. After that the sim card tray could not read that it was there. At that point I went to a verizon store to get another psim thinking that it would be fixed. Instead it could not read that one either, it acted as if it wasn't even inserted at all. The next best thing I could think of doing since I was strapped for cash was to switch over to esim as my phone is capable of dual sim functionality and supports esim. I contacted Verizon to get it activated as that's what it said to do for android phones on their activation faq webpage. The activation went extremely well and I was completely satisfied. Fast forward a couple days layer and the esim started dropping out at random times. It would register as having network connectivity however the service was nonexistent. I kept turning on and off airplane mode to fix it to which it reconnected just fine and I had full network connection again. Fast forward a few hours later a d the esim completely disconnected (no signal bars and the x above it indicating no service at all. I immediately started troubleshooting up to factory reset and going as close as I could to the nearest cell tower but nothing work. I deleted the esim and and had verizon send me a new one which work for half a day and then had the same problem. I did this cycle for about a week until I tried to have verizon activate a new esim for me and after installing it couldn't activate. It would say activated on their end but on mine it wasn't. In the esim manager it would say either unknown phone number or list the 10 digits in zeros. It has been this way ever since and no matter how many times I have them add a new esim it still says those exact things and won't activate. In sim status it says Searching for service but right below that it says in service. Mobile network state says connected. Network strength is 0 and 0 though. Mobile voice network type says unknown. I know this is a lot to read but I'm currently sitting with a 1000 dollar paperweight and would love to see if anyone has any answers. BTW the device is from verizon and is not unlocked.

I had huge issues with getting my phones to hold onto the esims. I ended up going into the store and demanding that they give me a regular sim card. After being told a few times that the sim cards don't exist anymore bt the store manager, another employee went in the back, brought out two sims, activated them, and put them into the phones.
I'm just starting a 3-year commitment to them, but I'm actively comparing deals from other providers. I don't want to stick around long enough for my next upgrade.

I’m having the same issue. I just signed up a month ago. I can’t receive calls or texts at work. I’m constantly on SOS or searching for service. This is not what I expected with Verizon. I’m seriously considering switching companies.
