So last year around this time I was told by a Best Buy customer service rep that I could trade in my Iphone 12 mini for the new Iphone 14. He said my iphone 12 was worth $800 and the new iphone 14 was the same price so it would be a wash. I did it. I got my bill for a year and it was great. Now, Verizon sends me a bill with device charges on it starting this month as if I owe for this phone. Why is this? It was an even swap. I even paid the one time upgrade charge of $35.
