Issues with network extender

We have had Verizon for many, many years, when we moved to a house that had no cell service we got a cell network extender. It never worked 100 percent but was able to make do with calls. The problem started when we installed fiberoptic 500 mps ,and when Verizon switched to 4G.,about a year give or take.Verizon sent us a new 4G network extender, but service is very poor. Calls are very choppy to the point of you having to end the call. when enable wifi calling you can talk for 3 to 5 minutes and call drops. Internet company has come to the house and no problems were found. All other devices work fine and internet is strong thru out the house. We have spent a year of long, frustrating, calls to Verizon with no answers or solving the problem. Things we have tried are

WI FI calling, numerous settings on phones including airplane mode, changed routers, changed sims, changed phones disconnected network extender and tried wifi calling, nothing works.

Any information would be very helpful.  If i call using fb messenger,it works fine, this is the only way i can keep a conversation going. However, not all calls can go thru messenger, very frustrated.Doesnt make sense.
