Verizon Trade-in lost by UPS

My research suggests that this is the place to raise my concerns with recent experience.

In September 2023, I ordered new iPhone 15 and traded-in my old iPhone 12 pro max.

I dropped it off with UPS (September 28) and kept the receipt. However, the tracking never got updated and the package is never delivered.

I called in (October 10) and the representative said Verizon has received my trade-in, and the system should be updated soon.

I then contacted Verizon through Chat on Oct 17 but the conversation was ghosted by the representative.

I thought the situation was resolved.

On December 12 - I saw the trade-in promo revoked. Called again. Rep submitted a claim of 730$ for the promo

Now they are saying that they couldn't even escalate the case since UPS never delivered the phone to them and they refuse to do anything.

I've seen a few threads about the same thing.  Sometimes people have noted phones were stolen in transit.  Have you tried contacting UPS to tell them the delivery was lost or stolen to see if you can at least get reimbursed?  Good luck.

UPS cannot open claim since the tracking only shows drop-off and no expected delivery date is available

As of today. This situation remains unresolved. I’m extremely upset about the situation.

I will be waiting for another 10 business days for this situation to be resolved.

If the situation is not resolved within 10 business days of this message, I will have to resort to the small claims court.
