Verizon's new iPhone 15 Pro ad is misleading. The narrator says, "Trade in any iPhone, any condition, for a new iPhone 15 Pro on us. Only on Verizon." And the accompanying text in very large print says pretty much the same thing.
So, I tried to get the deal, but no dice. Apparently, the deal doesn't apply to me because I'm not getting a new line. Somehow the narrator in the ad "forgot" to mention the part about the new line. (The disclaimer does seem to appear for a few seconds in tiny print in the corner of the screen, but not in a way I could read when the ad played on TV.)
Shouldn't Verizon do better than that?

I had the same disappointment when I tried to upgrade my XR iPhone to iPhone 15 pro. Any phone means any phone; but Verizon seems to apply that to iPhones newer than the XR according to the Verizon representative. And Verizon offer to me comes with trade in for my XR for only $415. Ironically they upgraded my daughter’s iPhone XS to iPhone 15 with $830 rebate! It seems their rebates are arbitrary and dishonest.
Nonetheless Verizon is so deceiving that I am starting to shop other carriers which have better deals now. I have not seen any small print that says the contrary. I even told the representative I can upgrade my subscription; but she replied that even with upgrade, they will only give me $415 rebate! After more than 12 years with Verizon, it is time to move on.
