Weak signal at my home

Hello,

We live on Dogwood Road in Loris SC, 29569. We moved here from Worcester MA (01604) in 2016 and shortly after our move to Loris SC we had to purchase a Verizon signal booster to get a strong cell signal at our home. When we lose power our wireless connection (bars) drops to one bar or below. My husband and I both use Galaxy Note 5 cell phones and iPad Mini's through Verizon. We are strongly considering moving to AT&T just so we have connection when the power goes out at our home. Can someone tell me WHY the coverage map shows 100% coverage in our area but in my home, without the signal booster, we have extremely low cellular connection.

Not to sound flippant, but you do have coverage, it’s just not up to your previous experience in Massachusetts. Unfortunately, no carrier covers ever place. You may be in a geographical dead zone, or just with the wrong carrier for your new home.

Please ask around your neighbors before you pick a new carrier.

We would truly be sad to see you go. We always want you to have the best service possible. Signal can be affected by many factors, such as terrain, foliage, building materials etc..

While we always do our best to provide service everywhere we can, we are not able to guarantee coverage indoors, as there are so many factors, that can not be controlled.

Also, with regard to your service diminishing when you lose power and the network extender is no longer on, that is to be expected. The network extender is like a mini cell tower in your home that provides you a signal through your home Wi-Fi. If the power goes out and your Wi-Fi and network extender are no longer on, you will not have access to that enhanced signal. If I may ask, how is service when you leave your home?
