Why does my outbound caller ID show a wrong name?

I recently got a cell phone with verizon. I called my home phone and some other name displayed. It appears to be a persons name, so maybe someone who had the number before. How can I get this fixed?

I'm sorry this is happening. We always want it to state cellular caller or Verizon Wireless. Does this happen with multiple caller ids

It displays Duncan A when I called my home phone. Which isn't my name. When

I had first set up my service I asked about this and the person on the

phone said a Tech person had to fix it and it was a known problem, but that

was several weeks ago and it stills shows the same on caller ID.

Go to my Verizon>Products and apps>Free>share name ID     Put in your name if you want or select unknown.   Restart phone.  It make take a day to resset but this should fix the problem

This doesn't work. I changed my name in the way he suggested a long time ago because I divorced and went back to my maiden name. I just found out today that when I call people it is still showing my married last name even though I've had the correct name on my Verizon account and showed to share it for years now.

Shutterbug1018, I see you stated that your married name is still showing up but I do need to get clarification. Where does this show meaning does the married name show on landlines? Please clarify as we may be able to submit a ticket for you to request landlines update your info.
