I am getting stonewalled in every attempt to get my rebate for two of the four phones I purchased on June 20, 2016.
First I received no instructions on how to apply and get the rebate.
In July I contacted customer service and was told how to do so and instructed to use promo code VZ-IPHONEBOGO2
I could not get my rebate application submitted with this code despite trying for a couple of days. I questioned this using the rebate chat feature and was told that code was only good in California. I called and spent an hour on the phone with the rebate people who insisted I was never told I could get a rebate and that code was only good in California.
The next day I drove to the store where I picked up my phones and they confirmed the buy one get one free offer was valid in late June. The store employee was very helpful and he even called the rebate center. He was told there was no buy one get one free. The store manager next got on the phone with the rebate center and argued with them to no avail. In the meantime, the store manager was able to submit my rebate. Kudos to the store personnel for spending two hours dealing with this. However, several days later my applications were rejected to I had to get back on the chat and go through the entire process once again. Why is this so difficult?
The chat representative was nice and was able to get the rebate submitted again but I just received a notice saying I did not submit this in time. Verizon, are you intentionally misleading people?
I want my rebate. You promised it to me and now I have spent about 10 hours on it and have nothing to show.
