Hi there! I am a Verizon customer and I am having issues when dialing phone numbers that start with NPA-NXXs of 240-264. I make calls to Maryland for work with this NPA-NXX, and was able to make successful calls as of May 1st, however, since then when I call that number (which is a business) I get the "Welcome to Verizon Wireless message 4" error message. I have found out from other team members that they are having the same issue with their Verizon devices. Everyone in my house has Verizon service and none of them are able to make calls to that number either. I did a little more research and tried to call a different number in the same NPA-NXX and got the same error.
I'm wondering if there was some kind of a numbering translations update around May 1st that may have caused this NPA-NXX to be blocked in the network?
I've worked in Telecom for 20+ years on the network side of things, so, forgive my "geek" speak. But, I'm hoping someone will be able to speak my language and know what I'm saying.
Any help is greatly appreciated. I tried to call Customer Support, but, she had me mess with settings on my device and I know this isn't a device issue. I'm in KC and my co-worker having the same issue is in Seattle, so, it's not happening at the tower either. Help?
