The rumor mill has the Bionic coming out on 4Aug.  They also said 6Jul but that didn't happen.  Sort of reminds me of a certain preacher trying to predict the Rapture, it's any body's guess.  :smileyhappy:

The problem is that Verizon doesn't care if you are frustrated.  They have delayed the release of the Samsung Function and Droid Bionic until after the end of the unlimited data plans.  Verizon is currently the biggest wireless carrier in the country and they are starting to act like it.  Verizon used to care about customers but now they only care about gouging us every way they can.

Has anyone truly considered going to another carrier?  Right now, Sprint still has unlimited plans, they have some great phone choices and they seem to be hungry to do business.  I compared costs the other day and I can put my family onto Sprint - 4 phones - with more than enough minutes, unlimited text and unlimited data for about $80 to $100 less than Verizon per month.  Even though I would have to spend a bit more on phones up front, I will get it back in 2 - 3 months.

I would like to hear from others.

That makes them even more arrogant.  They have more customers, more coverage and, because of this, they are going to flaunt it because they know we can't do anything about it.

I would seriously consider switching but I need to talk to people who have Spring or AT&T in the area first to see if they have good service.  I believe Verizon has has got arrogant due to the size and there great network.  It isn't like you have a lot of choices. I  worry if AT&T and Tmobile go through it could get ever worse.

I don't believe Verizon had anything to do with the release date of the phones.  All of the articles that I've read indicated that Motorola wanted to push out a great product right off the bat.  They didn't want any flaws what so ever, like what happened to HTC and the Thunderbolt.

With these types of products, no one ever really knows how its going to work until it's out there.  The companies expect issues, it just depends on how much and how bad they are.  Its all about damage controls and the ability to contain it when it happens.

I have thought about other carriers, but like everyone else, it all depends on the area.  Verizon works best for me and I heard about ATT and Sprint not doing so well for others around my area.  For where they need the coverage, their company is fine.  Where I live, Verizon has the best coverage while ATT does not.  I also travel bewteen Phoenix and Las Vegas weekly.  For both those cities, I get a win/win with VZW.

I have been awaiting the Motorola Droid Bionic (targa/whatever) since February.  I'm hearing rumblings about July 28th/ August 4th, and most recently on September 1.   All I know is Verizon/Motorola better not wait too long because they are losing customers during this f iasco of a delay.   As far as Moto is concerned with Verizon, the iPhone and Samsung Galazxy S II is gonna blow them out of the water if they wait too late to release this monster.

A T &T/T-Mobile and Sprint will also have the Galaxy S II, but haven't announce release dates either.
