when I choose the voice search app it used to make a ding so I know that it was ready for a command. Now it just vibrates - how do I get the ding sound back? It worked until last night.

Make sure the system sounds are turned up.
ssu15211, we want you to get that sound notification when you are using the voice search feature. We will help get your sound returned. What is the make and model of your phone. Have you tried powering your phone off and back on?
