Droid SD card warranty

When the sd card is installed my phone crashes.. installed a 2 gig card and the phone works fine... the card is defective. Is that covered under the manufacturer warranty?

Yes, that would be covered, however, have you tried putting the SD card into a card reader on the computer and formatting it? It may just have become corrupted. (This can happen if you unplug your phone from a data source without first un0mounting the SD card.)
