Galaxy s7 won't update apps over wifi

All other internet activities work. Just the play store is hung up and the updates cycle looking like they're about to work and nothing ever happens. The phone heats up and I've use 60% of my battery in 4 hours. I don't have infinite data (thanks verizon) and now it looks like I'll be going over my data limit because of a bug.

Let's get you back in business on the right network for your needs as I understand the importance of conserving cellular data. Does the battery drain with normal device function or only when the updates are trying to go through? Have you tested this on multiple WiFi networks? Have there been any recent app installs or software updates completed when this began?
