How do I switch from basic vm to free basic virtual cm?

I had the free trial of premium vm for 2.99 per month and stopped the trial. Now I have the plain ild basic, not the free basic virtual. I have run all updates and it doesn't change it nor give me an option to upgrade. On the verizon site, the free basic virtual isn't an option in the manage apps chkices. I have a moto x. Thanks

Not sure exactly what went on when I cancelled the free trial, but had to call customer service, force stop the voicemail app, go to the Playstore, reinstall. It worked!!!
