LG Lucid 2 battery drains while connected to WiFi

I have an LG Lucid 2. I have noticed over the last few months that while I am connected to my WiFi that the battery dies within about 2 hours after being fully charged; it also gets really hot while it's connected. I have talked to Verizon about it, they had me do a bunch of stiff to it (app killing, resetting it, etc.) it was ok for about a week, and it has been doing it again. I was just wondering if anyone else has this problem, and what you do to help with the battery. As far as apps go, I mostly use Facebook, and Pyramid Solitaire Saga. I also text quite frequently in the mornings.

I took my phone to Verizon and the associate called the tech support. They determined that it was probably the antenna on my phone so they sent me a replacement phone. When I received it, I put my battery in, and still had the same problem. I charged it overnight, and when I unplugged it the next day I had the same problem. I called tech support and told them that it was most likely the battery. I explained everything that was going on, and they told me to reset my router. I reset it, and now everything seems to be working fine. Thanks for all your help :smileyhappy:

are you using the lg charger when charging the phone? Does the phone have a micro SD card in it for extra space..... sounds like a bad battery.

I does sound like it could be a bad battery. However, it could also be some app is sending/receiving a lot of data over wifi. If a phone is sending a lot, you should see the Up/Down arrows under the WiFi icon in the status bar indicate it's sending stuff.

Are you synching material with some cloud service?
