I have an LG G2. Recently, when making or accepting a phone call, the person on the other end cannot hear me. I can hear them just fine. This happens whether I talk using Bluetooth, speaker phone, or using the phone in a normal manner. Any clue as to why this is happening? I already made sure it wasn't on mute. Thanks.

On the LG G2, you need to turn off the OK Google from any screen "feature" .
Go to Settings, Language & Input, Voice Search, "OK Google" detection" and turn off "From any screen"
My wife's phone has worked flawlessly for the last 3 days since she has turned this feature off, and she makes a LOT of phone calls.

I have a LG G3 and having the same problem. It started a few days ago. A person on another forum thinks it is because of a Google update related to "OK Google" function. I can power off and back on and it works sometime, but only briefly. Today I can't get it to work at all.

Hi, I just read your email. Thanks for getting back to me!!
I tried the voice recorder and it worked fine. I can't figure out how to
use text to talk on my phone so I haven't used that.
I just tried to make a call and they still can't hear me.
I appreciate your assistance with this.
Thank you

I, too, am experiencing a similar problem. 2 days ago my earpiece speaker stopped working. Others can hear me but I can't hear them. When I switch to speaker, I can hear them. I can hear audio when watching videos and my speech-to-text works properly when using it for texting.

I have the same issue with my husband calling me. He can here me, but I can't hear him. I have a Samsung and he has a Motorola. I called customer support, we did every reset. The fix worked for one call. It is only his phone and only if I call him. He has to always call me back. This starred about 3 weeks ago. Verizon sending me a new Sim chip, but I'm not sure it will fix.

I have used "Voice To Text" and it works fine. I have also used the "Voice Recorder" and it works as well. I have also used the "OK Google" and it works. I took the phone to the Verizon store and they said LG is aware of an audio issue with this phone and are working on a solution. He arranged for a new or refurbished phone to be sent to me. However, he said it is possible for the replacement phone to have the same issue.
I have received the phone and plan to convert to it today. I will report back whether this solution seems to be successful.

Sorry to say, but it sounds like the earpiece speaker has blown in your GS5 as it is a separate speaker from the speakerphone speaker.

This worked for me too. Same problem, same solution - turning off "ok google". Verizon was no help.

Thank you for sharing Rush. It worked! I also shared the feedback with Verizon's technical support. Hopefully if anyone else calls in, they now have an answer.
Verizon was wonderful at assisting me with all of my other problems with this phone.
