My phone has not worked since yesterday. Cannot make calls or receive calls. What is going on?

The first thing you want to check is your phone's status bar to see if your phone is connecting to the cellular network or not. It is usually the top line of screen on your phone. It should say Verizon on the left corner or to the right, it should indicate signal bars. If there is no SIM card error but the signal bar is low or there is an "X", it means that the cellular network is not connected, so there is no reception or transmission. If the weather is not good in your area, there could be a down time. If you are at home and have home internet, you can try connecting your phone via Wi-Fi Calling. Hope this helps. - Kevin.
