Is anyone pre-ordering the Razr? I'm thinking of adding a line with it but the only thing I know is what verizon sent to me in an email about it. I haven't even heard anything about it before that. Anyone know more?

My only concern is battery life. I believe the power output of the Razr battery is only the equal of the extended battery in the Bionic.
The other thing that makes absolutely no sense to me is the battery consumption of the OLED display. They say these displays consume LESS power than the standard LCD display, yet my experience is exactly the reverse.
My Samsung Charge always showed the OLED display as consuming the most power of anything on the phone...by far! Typically I'd see about 70-80% of battery life taken up by the OLED display.
Yet my Motorola Bionic typically shows about 10% of power being consumed by the display...exactly the reverse of what they say.
So that's why I'm concerned about Razr battery life...especially since you can't replace the sealed battery!

You're not really going to notice a difference unless everything you do is black since black pixels don't require any power.

I am all over this phone. Bought mine this morning around 8 and can't wait to get it. It has the specs and the look. I'll happily carry this phone for 18 months or more. Love my Droid X but this phone looks sweet.

Is the Razr available in stores now? The website says VZW isn't shipping it until 11-10.

You didn't read what I wrote. I've had OLED displays as on my Samsung Charge and they use MORE power despite the 'black pixels'. Comparing my Charge to my Motorola Bionic without an OLED display, one merely needs to look at the battery cosumption app to see where the power is going.
On the Bionic, a small % is going to the dispaly. On the Charge with the OLED display, a huge % is going to the display.
Tell me where I'm wrong.

That's because most of what we do isn't black. If you could find a way to invert the colors to where you have a black background and white text for the browser and other apps, then you'd probably notice a benefit to battery life. Otherwise, pentile screens like the one on the bionic are more efficient when it comes to power. Either way, the screen should always be higher if you're actually using the device. If it says something different, then it's lying to you.

You can't replace the battery? That's definitely a deal killer for me. So are you saying the battery isn't removable? How do you do a soft reset on the phone?

Unfortunately that is correct. It's just like an Iphone, the cover can't be opened by the user. You are stuck with the battery life of the installed battery.
