jtitcomb, Italy sounds like a great place to visit. We will provide you information regarding using your phone in another country. All of our 4G phones are already unlocked and can work outside if the U.S. We can not guarantee service or that the sim card from another carrier will work. You will have to contact them and test to see if it will activate.

According to the specifications, it is global ready. The phone should be SIM unlocked from the factory so it should work. Samsung Galaxy J3 V | Verizon Wireless
