Anyone had luck using their "Verizon" Note II with Kies? Seems Verizon Note II's are the only ones not to work. Is this true or is there a trick to make it work?
Currently, KIES is not supported by Verizon. Unfortunately, Verizon sold us a watered down version of the Galaxy Note II. A lot of apps supported by other carriers are not supported by Verizon, such as multiwindow (they gave us a lite version of this apps), S-calander, and several other apps.
You've not had good luck with phones lately, huh? :smileysad:
Not really. Love my Galaxy Note II even if it is missing all the bells and whistles. Maybe one day Verizon will se fit to give them to us.
Hey Pariyah!Kies is totally a great application for device correspondence from browser management so I know it's very important for you to have these capabilities. At the moment, Kies live (desktop version) for management and syncing is not supported on the Note 2. However, even with that said, may I please ask what you were looking to sync from device to device? There are more than a few third party applications that you can locate via the Play Store depending on what you're trying to do. I think it's definitely worth a shot taking a look at.EvanO_VZWVZW SupportFollow Us On Twitter @VZWSupport
just to correct the above post. kies live IS in fact supported by the Note II.....just not verizon's version. we shouldn't have to download other apps to do what this phone does, stock, on every other carrier.
Hey, Verizon, if Kies is not supported, why does your Owner's Manual recommend its use?
Maybe because the Owner's manual was written by Samsung and not Verizon?
Has the Verizon logo on it, so I think Verizon needs to take ownership here.
I read on tmobile forum that if you uninstall and install again it will work.
Well, here it doesn't. I guess it's VZ after all.
When CM releases a stable version for it, I am going for it.
Verizon you may have the best cell tower coverage, but you have the worst phone offerings and support. Just upgraded from Thunderbolt (bad experience) to Note II (which I like). Why are we verizon user not allowed to connect to our PCs via Kies, and why have many of the phone features been watered down, blocked and removed? This really chaps my butt. Give us the full featured phones and screwing them up if you want to keep your customer.
I am having problems with Kies support. I want to be able to sync my music. My blackberry storm 2 syncs better atm.
This is pathetic.
OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! the BS meter is going of the chain.... Verizon, Big Red, Only decent coverage I can get around my area, what ever we call you. I would LOVE a talk to the person that makes the decisions for the company!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! If I only had to pay you a $ 1.00 for a phone I would have nothing to say, nothing to bash you with. But we the CUSTOMERS pay you GOOD money, BIG money to some for the phones. If we cant have something meant for are devise, at lest give us a reason to why Verizon speaks for us, what we want or don't want on are devises. and OMG what the $@^^ is up with the bloat wear at lest pick ones that are less like CRAP!!!!!!!! VZ NAVIGATOR???????? really......
Google does it better
