Send contacts fo car phone via bluetooth

Hi,

Just got a Stratosphere and need some help sending my contact list to a bluetooth car hookup. I have no problem setting up the car to receive, but can't seem to find out how I mark and send the contacts from the Strato to the car.

Not all radios support the newer bluetooth stacks in the newer devices, most likely this option isnt compatible.. If the device works fine with handsfree then this means that its probally not compatible because it transmit on same transmission.

I have two friends who have 08 Lexus hybrids which will connect to Bluetooth but will not upload the phone's directory. One has been able to get the dealer to transfer her directory to the car but it will not update new numbers. They have had the same problem with different phones including BlackBerry, Motorola dumbphones, Droids and now a new Samsung Stratosphere. You might want to find some forums for your car on the net and see if the problem is the car, rather than the phone.

From the information you have given it simply sounds like the radio doesn not have the software to be able to communicate with the devices bluetooth stacks on your device.... This is normal as hardware and software changes, since the car stereo is 4 years old and bluetooth security and software has been updated since your vehicles radio was made but your radios software hasnt been updated to stay compatible.

Its like tring to get a Windows 7 hardware to work on a Windows xp system, it may load drivers to access the hardware but there will be good change some options wont work because the OS wont have the information to access the feature.. If I had to guess the device that the rep got to work was probally a older device or the device had a older version of the OS that the radio understood how the device functioned.
