Since the update on my galaxy s5, the do not disturb feature does not work properly. If I try to only allow favorites or contacts to message me, I receive all messages. There is no way for only them to message me. Only way to silence other messages is to block everyone. I am no longer able to let my emergency contacts be the only callers to message me. This was one of my favorite features. Will there be an update soon to fix it?
Just to verify, you are going into settings>sound and notification>do not distrub and setting your preferences that way and turning them to the on position?

I would start with something simple like clearing cache:
settings>storage>cached data>ok and restart your device

work.
