Why cant i disable the screen time out on this phone?

Making sure you can use your phone the way you need to is a big deal. We always strive to provide the options you need. I looked into the V30 and I do see the timeout can be changed https://www.verizonwireless.com/support/knowledge-base-214924/ but the maximum time is ten minutes and there isn't an option to turn it off completely. What has you wanting to disable this feature?

I have the same phone model and my workaround is using the voice recognition. For example, if I needed to unlock it while riding a bike, I'll say "LG unlock"
