On June 6th we brought 3 phones 2 of them being Samsung S5 phones with the ability to get the phones we were able to qualify for rebates on all the phones. well after 2 notices we keep having issues getting over $300 in rebates due as it seems to always be a new issue with the rebates forms. After calling for the 3rd time today they now say it will be another 21 days before they may get approved. This is such a scam that Verizon runs and always blame the third party approval. I guess I should just wait to pay the next bill pending the approval of the rebates but then or just cancel my service with them suspending the cancelling fee. It is only fair as they have already been paid and want to get all our money. This is the 2nd time I have have had rebate issues with Verizon I am doubting that I will let it be a 3rd time as the service and the every raising cost of doing business with them and the every rising cost it comes with doing business with them. I certainly wish this was still Alltel as doing business with them was straight forward.

Well let's see June 7th. And say they received them 5 days later that would be June 12th. June 12, 2014 to July 12, 2014 is four weeks.
Today is the 15th. Of July so it has been four weeks and three days.
You have not waited the full six-eight weeks per the rebate form.
Normally I send rebates in via certified return receipt requested.
I keep copies of everything sent and place them in a folder called "Rebates"
Normally the State Attorney Generals office are the ones that handle rebate fraud issues. Or a consumer protection office in your state.
Good Luck

According to the Verizon Wireless Rebates FAQ, it may take up to six weeks to receive rebates.

Of the 3 phones all three had rebates but only the smartphones are the ones with issues, the regular phone has been processed and supposedly on the way. All three lines had issues with the rebates and gone back and forth and now I am still waiting even longer so this is not a answer. All 3 phones were brought and rebate sent in at the same time.

June 7th, all sent in the same time, and again only one is approved. This is after they all had the same issue or so we were to told.

As Elector has stated, you haven't waited the full term. They won't take a complaint seriously as you haven't waited the full term.

This company does not honor what their sales people promise. We were told we would get $250 rebate per phone that we moved to Verizon. We moved 2 phones and submitted the paperwork. I received an email for both rebate tracking numbers that the rebate request was an "invalid location". Turns out the store promised us the $250 for what was an online purchase only. The store rebate is only $150 per line. I've called the store and was told they can't do anything about it. I called customer service and was told to call the rebate center. I called the rebate center in February and learned why they rejected the rebate request. The agent told me she would "try" to get the code changed. It's now 3/18 and I haven't received any communication from them. I chatted with an agent online today. They did create two more tracking numbers, but we are out $200 because they aren't honoring what the store promised. I asked to escalate the issue and was told to call customer service. I didn't get any help from them in the first place. They are sending two cards for $150. We'll see if I actually receive them since they haven't been mailed yet. I'm really sorry we made the move.

I have got the run around from Verizon on my rebates for 6 months. I have contacted Verizon 4 times starting at the 6 weeks after purchase only to get the "we are sorry this wasn't taken care of, I am going to elevate it to the next level" every time. I have called enough that it should be at the VP or CEO of Verizon. Seeing how many people are dissatisfied with your service on rebates, I am surprised there is not a class action lawsuit.
THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE. I promise I will take my business to another company if this is not rectified.

Oh no, icehawk60! This is certianly not the way we want you to feel! Our intention is to help you in the best way possible and provide the world-class customer service you deserve. We are terribly sorry you had to speak to several people, our goal is to help you resolve the issue the first time you reach out to us. Can you tell us a little more? What promotion did you apply for and how did you submit for the rebate?

I have also experienced this same issue. Switched from T-Mobile to Verizon in December of last year. Was told by the representative that the rebate would come in the form of a preloaded card and would take 8-12 weeks to receive it. Not a single thing was mentioned about needing to fill something out online within 30 days after activation. Was also told that I wouldn’t pay activations fees which wasn’t the case. It appears, with the number of post around these rebates, that there needs to be much more training / conversations with your retail stores and authorized dealers on the process. I’m sure I will never see the $400 I was promised to switch.

This is not the experience we want you to have, and we are always here to help out tmurnan. Could you tell us if you already submitted the information for the rebate? What was the $400.00 for, was it for switching or purchasing a device?

No, it will not let me submit the rebate. I have already tried several times. It tells me “Promo Code with the Order/Purchase date can’t be found.” I am sure this is because it is past the eligibility period. This rebate was for switching two lines from T-Mobile to Verizon. We also purchased two iPhone 11’s at the same time. Again I was told the rebates would arrive in the mail. Had I known I needed to complete something online I would have.

I had a similar issue, The sales rep informed me that by switching you will get $250 per phone, and the order email had details of the offer & code, link to submit the rebate. I went ahead and submitted the rebate as per instructions. My rebate was rejected stating it is "invalid" as it was "purchase was not from a participating location". The rebate center representation was asking the sales rep who advise me on the offer, how would I remember the name after a few months? If the Verizon sales rep's are providing the faulty information whom should I trust. I presume the calls are recorded for quality, they should listen and correct. The whole episode feels like bait and switch. I have spent multiple hours calling Verizon support for my trade-in and now for the rebate and both of the issues are still pending.

They're scam artists. No different from used car salesmen. I have the same issue. All they do is bounce you around departments and just hope you give up eventually. All the employees and departments know about it. Think about how much money they make off people by doing this, they don't even have to do it to everyone. They know they can get away with it. They are the scum of the earth.
