I don't stream, because I have an extensive CD collection. I'm currently using itunes (on an Apple device). Is itunes available on the Samsung, or do I have to use a different player app?
You can transfer your music collection to the Google Play Music and use that application to listen to your music. There also applications that allow you to access your iTunes music too.

You can go into the Galaxy app store and download the Samsung music player. They removed it to debloat the device, but left the option for people to download it if they want to use it. You could use another music player as well.
