I downloaded this app for more backrounds and everytime i saw a backround i liked i would select to save it. then it would tell me that it was saved on my SD card in the wallpaper directory. I've been browsing for two days trying to find where they went. i know in my al;bums there is a seprate album for downloads, but it isnt there either...Help!

Andexplore is a free app in the market. It is basically a file explorer. It is pretty cool there are others but this one suits me fine.

Do a search in the market for File Manager. You have to scroll a little bit but it is a free app by Lysoft. I don't know why searching for it doesn't work but I tried even putting the capital letters where they belong and it still wouldn't find it but in scrolling under a search for file manager it was there.

There are 2 ways to browse files on the sd card. 1-connect the phone to your pc and open windows explorer click on the sd card and browse. 2-download a file manager such as Astro File manager. When you open Astro up its default view is the SD card.
FYI, the downloads folder in your album is for pics that have downloaded from emails and MMS messages.

I have downloaed files from youtube in the download folder. By selecting the backgrounds option it should list any images on your device to be selected to use. Mine does.
I had to get another app to had the ones not for my kids..lol..bikini pics of course.
