Access to system files TCL Flip Phone Pro
TheOriginalJimCricket

Is there any easy way to access the system files on this phone?

I bought a new one and thought I was getting the Pro version with all the extra software, but it was the Pro version withOUT all the extra software. (Long story.) It has become an ordeal trying to get the store or Verizon to do an exchange of the phone. So I thought MAYBE I could just transfer the software (at least the browser) from the old phone into the new one. Possible?

I spent an hour today trying. I can hook it up to my computer through USB and see it as a new drive. I have "Show Hidden Files" chosen. But no dice.

I had Chat GPT help, but it gave me complicated answers about using Android Bridge. I couldn't figure that out for the life of me.

Hey TheOriginalJimCricket, we're sorry to hear that you're having a difficult time with the features on the new phone, and it not being what you had expected it to be. We do have a 30-day worry free guarantee period for any device purchase. I know you had mentioned a return or exchange, so if you're still within 30-days from the date of purchase you shouldn't have any issues. Learn more here: https://www.verizon.com/support/return-policy/

Please note there would be a $50 restocking fee for returned or exchanged devices that have been opened and used.

You aren't by any chance the same Joseph who I spoke with two days ago and promised to get back to me and never did. Are you?

I've given up trying to get Verizon's help in exchanging this phone, and frankly I'm shocked that there is a $50 restocking fee. None of the 20 different agents I've spoken with over the past few days ever mentioned that.

As the question should show you, I'm now trying another route. I want to be able to transfer the software that came with my old TCL Flip Phone Pro and the TCL Flip Phone Pro that was mistakenly sold to me that doesn't have the software. If you can help me with that question I would be very grateful.

I also have a question out to TCL. I am hoping that they will be more cooperative.
