How do I get my contacts working again?

Everything was fine. My phone worked well, and I had everything just 5he way I like it. Since 5he lollipop update I get the message that contacts has stopped so apparently I can't dial out. I have reset my phone, and I still get the message. I need a phone that can make phone calls. Please fix this asap.

We want to put an end to that error message, pebut. Do you use Google +? If not, please try disabling Google + by going to Settings>Apps>Swipe to ALL>Google +>Disable. Once you have disabled the application, please try using your phone as you normally would. I know you mentioned this is not a consistent issue, but let us know if it reappears.

wooter80, I'm terribly sorry to hear you're having so much difficulty making calls! That's definitely not the way we want your phone to work. Let's get this back to working the way it should. I am having this exact same issue. It has been happening for months. I've scoured the forums and various sites and have found no resolution. I have a Motorola RAZR. The issue does not happen consistently, but is occurring often enough to be very frustrating, probably 2 out of every 3 attempts to use the phone/contacts/texting. The message might come up when I am attempting to make a phone call, when I'm attempting to access contacts, or when I am attempting to send a text message. It will even come up when someone is calling me. When that happens, I have to click on OK on the error message before I can answer the call. I never have this message come up when I'm using any other application. Sometimes I have to click OK on the message and retry what I am doing 6-10 times before it will finally work. I have tried doing a Force Stop on Contacts and Clearing the cache and done a hard restart on the phone. Nothing works. You might think it is working, but it will start up again. This did not occur when I originally got the phone but I don't know if this is in relation to an update or an app. I'm seeing this issue reported everywhere for many kinds of devices but have only seen speculation on what to try... no verified fixes anywhere. Is it Android? Is it Verizon? Is it an update? An app? HELP!

I made this change on March 28th and haven't seen the issue since. Even though the problem was intermittent, it was common enough to see it almost every day. I'm so glad this is gone!

Or continue using G+ and just use Contact Sync Fixer in the Play Store. No use disabling apps just to fix an OS issue.
