At your home? At your work? Everywhere? You need to be a bit more specific.

I have like 4-5 bars UNTIL I make a call, then it drops right down to 1 bar, and the quality is terrible. Why would my signal change when I make a call? Please help.

What kind of phone (make/model) do you have? Are you making a cell or WiFi call (is WiFi calling active)?

Verizon 4G LTE
I don't know how to activate WiFi calling but I turned off WiFi and it still did the same thing.

You might check out one of the signal strength apps and monitor it while making a call. And it would still help us if you identify your phone make/model.

Thanks for the dialogue.
My model number is: VS425PP
Does that help?
Is there a specific signal strength app you can recommend?

Are you able to see the signal strength before a call and during a call? Call Technical Support and ask them about it 800-922-0204 or *611. You may have to have them escalate it to the next level or have them open a ticket with another group.

JoshuaWantsHelp,
Your signal should be by your side. Let's look into this. Are you on a Prepay or Postpay account? What zip codes are you having troubles in? Additionally, this link may assist: http://spr.ly/6582DEwQw

I'm sorry to learn you're signal strength is low on your device. It's important you always have reliable signal and I'll be happy to help fix this. Allow me to gather some more details from you so I can better assist you. Are you receving 1 bar of signal when you're only indoors or outdoors too? What zip code are you located in?

JoshuaWantsHelp,
That's no way to enjoy making calls on your device. Let's make sure we get to the bottom of this issue and keep your signal strength from dropping when you're making a call. Is this happening both indoors and outdoors? Are any other users in the area having the same issues as you?
