I hope this save someone hours worth of frustration:
I moved to an area in the hills that has rather poor mobile reception. Wifi calling became an absolute necessity. I purchased the OnePlus after Verizon verified that it was the first OnePlus phone to be whitelisted for wi-fi calling. While prior OnePlus models had wi-fi calling capability, they were not approved and whitelisted for use on Verizon.
With that in mind, I purchased a OnePlus 11. As I did not have a 5G physical sim when I got the device, I opted to activate with an eSim. All worked well until I tried to activae wi-fi calling. Following the steps, I trurned wi-fi calling on, accepted terms, and entered a physical address. It WOULD NOT activate. Nothing worked.
Calls to OnePlus resulted in misinformation that the OnePlus 11 does not work with wi-fi calling on Verizon. Verizon was clueless too, even after escalating to Level 3 Support. So... I purchased a physical sim. I swapped to physical sim, activated it, and voila, wi-fi calling activated the first time I tried. PLEASE DO NOT TRY ACTIVATING WI-FI CALLING ON A ONEPLUS 11 ON VERIZON WITH AN ESIM. AS OF 12/13/2023, IT DOES NOT WORK. PLEASE MAKE A NOTE!
