Visual Voicemail Issue

Recently I switched to a new phone and started experiencing an issue with my visual voicemail. When I click the app icon for voicemail messages, it will show them for a second then the message "Voicemail keeps stopping" comes up with the only option shown is "close app". Normally I would uninstall an app and reinstall it but this is not an option with the voicemail app. Never had this problem on my old phone (both LG) Any suggestions? Thanks!!

Do you have an active 4G or 3G cellular connection at the time this happens?

LG Exalt Voicemail Notifications -- 2 voicemails -- onscreen wouldn't go away.

Paying it forward... Finally contacted Lemuel today in Tech Support/Tier 2.

He resolved it! (see Solution below NOTE)

*NOTE* Started this fix by dialing Voicemail / Personal Options / Press 4.

Press 1 for "Turn message indicating on/off."

Selected OFF.

Pressed * (star) to exit. Hung up.

Solution --

1 Have family member, friend, ANYONE call your phone.

2 Don't answer.

3 Caller leaves NEW voicemail and hangs up.

4 Onscreen shows one new voicemail.

5 Previous 2 "problem voicemails" notifications finally GONE.

6 Dial voicemail. Listen. Delete. Hang up.

7 ALL voicemail notifications onscreen then GONE.
