The customer service experience was the worst I've ever encountered. I scheduled an in-home service appointment for my son's phone 3 weeks in advance on the one day we all had off. The technician was supposed to arrive between 1-3. We left our vacation early and planned to arrive late to a family party to accommodate this appointment. By 2:30 I hadn't heard from the technician, and I called Asurion to confirm the tech was actually coming. I was told yes, he will be there before 3. The tech was a no-show. I called Asurion BACK and was told the only thing they could do was to reschedule the appointment for me and hope he shows up this time, I could drive to a repair shop, or I could pay $99 to have the phone replaced. THEIR tech was a no-show. No call. No text. No email. I spoke to 2 different people, and the only thing they offered for my wasted time and inconvenience was to schedule more of the same. This company charges me monthly for a service they do not provide. THAT is what you call paying for a service you do not receive
