SuzyZ, for customers who previously enrolled in the Disney Bundle through Disney or are now enrolled through Verizon and did not use an existing Hulu account please follow these steps:
Steps:
1 Remove the Disney Bundle using My Verizon app or website.
Customers with the Disney Bundle included in their plan can re-enroll in the bundle after completing this process.
Customers with the Disney+ promotion cannot re-enroll and receive the remainder of their promotional period.
2 Visit Hulu.com and sign up for an account with Hulu (No Ads)*.
Create the account using the same email address used when activating Hulu during the Disney Bundle enrollment through My Verizon.
Refer to the Hulu Help Center to assist customers creating a Hulu account.
*Hulu (No Ads) is available for the difference between products; payment is required with Hulu and paid to Hulu
3 Re-enroll in the Disney Bundle through Verizon.

Have you tried going to hulu.com and logging in there, then upgrading from that site?
I'm not a Verizon employee, just another customer trying to help.

SuzyZ, we hope you are enjoying your Disney Bundle with Hulu. Please see the details below on utilizing Hulu without Ads.
Customers with an existing Hulu subscription (prior to enrolling through Verizon) can enroll in Hulu add-ons (including No Ads) through their Hulu account or Hulu CS.
Customers without Hulu prior to signing up for the Disney Bundle receive Ad-supported Hulu.
Hulu credits the customer's Hulu bill if the customer:
Successfully enrolls in the Disney Bundle (through Verizon)
Previously subscribed to the Disney Bundle ($18.99 [tax may apply]) or Hulu subscription ($7.99 [tax may apply])
