I understand that all phones are carrier locked for 60 days and must be used on Verizon initially, even if I pay the full retail price upfront. I want to use the phone on Verizon prepaid. Will the phone be unlocked after 60 days in this case?

Ok, so just to confirm it does not matter whether it's Prepaid or Postpaid. After 60 days it will be unlocked?

It depends on which Prepaid device you get, i.e.,
"Prepaid Device Unlocking Policy
Devices that you purchase from Verizon and certain devices purchased from our retail partners are locked for 60 days after activation. After 60 days, we will automatically remove the lock. Following the 60 day lock period following device purchase, we do not lock our phones at any time.
If you purchase a 4G Phone-in-a-Box from our retail partners, you should review the back of the box to determine the lock period applicable to that device. "

JT888, excellent question we want to clear things up. Yes, you are correct, the 60-day time frame is for both Prepaid and Postpaid. Does this provide clarity?
