Can only download MMS on WiFi

Hi all, I just switched to Verizon (Prepaid) from T-Mobile.

Ever since I got my number switched over and working on the my phone, I haven't been able to download or send MMS messages over the data network. What's weird is that I can download MMS when connected to Wi-Fi, but not when connected purely through the mobile network even though I have full working data (5GUW). This was confirmed using Google Messages and Textra.

Any idea what's happening and/or troubleshooting methods I can try?

Phone: OnePlus 12

Plan: Unlimited Plus

Troubleshooting methods tried: Device Reboots, toggling SIM card, resetting network settings, toggling auto download MMS in Google Messages, re-downloading Google Messages, Toggling Block Messages add-on in My Verizon.

Any help is appreciated, thanks!

Can you please confirm if the T-Mobile phone is turned off and the SIM card removed?

Correct, the T-Mobile service was disconnected on 10/15 and the old SIM card is removed.

You might have to reach out to Verizon customer service to have them reset your provisions from their end.

Hi  Deb! See below for troubleshooting actions take: 

  • Device Reboots
  • Toggling SIM card,
  • Resetting network settings
  • Toggling auto download MMS in Google Messages
  • Uninstalling and Re-installing Google Messages
  • Toggling Block Messages add-on in My Verizon.
