Tried to purchase an item with two gift cards which requires a credit card entry. Website responds that credit card is invalid. Tried multiple credit cards and was eventually locked out due to exceeded attempts. Feels like a Gift Card Discouragement Plan. Maddening!

Don't quote me, but if it is a prepaid refill card, that would only work for paying your bill on a prepaid line? The cards I've seen for sale in stores say they are for paying your prepaid mobile bill. There are also other cards out which say Visible by Verizon and Total by Verizon (now Total Wireless, but the name change happened just recently, so existing refill cards will still have the old name on them). Those won't work on a Verizon account at all.
