Prepaid Account Just Doesn't Work Anymore

My Verizon Prepaid account seems to be broken.

Every time I send or receive any text messages I get a text which says "Text messaging service has been denied", and I don't actually get the message I was supposed to receive.

I have a signal to the Verizon towers, but can't use mobile data, just says "no internet".

Calls don't go anywhere. It almost is like every number is blocked in the way it's behaving.

When I log into my account online and ask the chat bot for a human, it always gives an error and can never connect me with anyone.

If I attempt to log into the My Verizon app it always states "We can't process ypur request right now".

I am unable to contact anyone through any means other than through the internet or making a trip out to a Verizon store and am at a loss as to what needs to be done. Again, I can't contact support...

 

This is basically a last cry for help before I try driving to a store.

I understand your frustration with it not working like it should, the things you are experiencing with your service and the device are very strange and we would need to get into the account ot make sure everything is as it should be there and move to troubleshooting the device. Is your current service period paid and up to date? *Michelle

Yes, my last payment confirmation message states that I'm good until January 26th, so this should be fine for a couple of weeks.

Strange indeed!

An update:

After I reached out with this post, Verizon support found a resolution while I was asleep. 

My phone number started working again, but I was unable to log into my account. I originally tried to reset the password for the account, but it couldn't be reset. Turns out the entire account had been reset.

I used the My Verizon app and went through the first time account registration process, setting up the account in the same way the old one was.

I did have to set up autopay again, but I appear to be getting my loyalty discount. As long as I get that, I'm happy.

This forum appears to have saved me a trip to a Verizon store.
