Prepaid Travel Pass

Now that prepaid customers can get Travel Pass, I'm wondering about this situation.

If you don't have funds loaded into your account, what happens with prepaid customers if they are outside the US?  Will there be a text sent asking if we want to pay for Travel Pass (and then we would have to add funds to our account immediately), or will we simply get billed Pay As You Go international roaming rates later, or will our device simply not work?

FYI to other prepaid customers out there: Cruise Daily Pass is still not available to prepaid customers, so I wouldn't use your phone at all while on a cruise in international waters.  No idea what would happen in that case.

If there is not a balance on the account, services will not be usable while travelling abroad. Pay As You Go rates will not apply to prepaid accounts.

We hear you. Getting international coverage can be a bit of a task. In this case we would need to make sure there is a balance to cover the travel pass on the account already. Please, send us a Private message so we can better assist.

Thanks for the clarification.  If a prepaid customer doesn't have a balance, then what happens if they're overseas?  Does their phone simply not work, or would they be charged Pay As You Go rates for international roaming?
