Removing Verizon MDM from Sonim XP5s

I bought a Sonim XP5s through Verizon (brand new) about 5 years ago. It came with the Verizon MDM pre-installed. It is limiting what I can do with other apps so I would like to remove it.

I've called Verizon customer service and gone to the store. Neither have been able to help. I've contacted Sonim customer support - they cant help either.

Seems like I'm not the only one with the issue. Look up the following posts in the Verizon community forum:

 - "Remove Verizon MDM from Sonim XP3plus (XP3900)"

-  "Please remove Verizon MDM software from my phone"
