Hello I’m unable to link services
as I wanted to see how much data is being used and bill

Did you sign up on My Verizon before your line was active? If so, you got a guest account instead of a "real" account and need to try registering again with your phone number. If the system doesn't let you, then someone at Verizon will have to delete the guest account you have and then you should be able to get a "real" account.
In the meantime, your phone probably has some feature in it where you can view your current data usage. On my phone, it's under Settings > Connections > Data usage.
I'm not a Verizon employee, just another customer trying to help.
