We have been a loyal Verizon customer for 30 years with three phone today. I purchased the Verizon Home Device Protections plan but just cancelled as it is impossible to actually get service via Asurion. Verizon should cancel this offering as it has damaged my impression of Verizon.
I had a problem with startup of computer covered by the plan – after spending all morning trying to follow the convoluted Asurion “process” I gave up .
Began with chat on Asurion website – was referred to Tech support person – after describing issue and extensive discussion was told to take to a UBREAKIFIX location since ”they have machine that will determine and fix problem”
Found location in Newport News but site will not make an appointment – link just goes dead
Tried calling store but got automated direction to file a claim. Went to “file claim” provided more information and pictures, got a response that will hear back in one business day – later in afternoon got feedback that device out of coverage parameters. Ironically, I got a promotional email from Verizon today (10/24) advertising the UBREAKIFIX stores with a link to make an appointment and when I clicked on it the page was not available – just what I would expect.
Get rid of this alleged service.
